Flowering size orchid
Phragmipedium kovachii is a spectacular orchid species discovered in Peru in 2001 and named after its discoverer, Michael Kovach. It is known for its magnificent large flowers, which can reach a diameter of up to 20 cm. The flowers are colored in a stunning shade of deep pink to purple. The flowers are also notable for their round shape and distinctive texture. The plant grows naturally in the humid mountain forests of Peru and therefore prefers a cool to temperate climate. It thrives best in well-drained substrate and requires high humidity and indirect light. However, it should be noted that this orchid is more recommended for experienced orchid lovers due to its rarity and difficulty in cultivation. It is classified as an endangered species and is therefore strictly regulated in international trade.
