Flowering size orchid
Bulbophyllum falcatum is an impressive orchid species known for its unusual flowers. It originates from the tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia and prefers a partially shaded environment. The plant should always be kept moist, but not overwatered. It is temperature resistant and prefers moderate climatic conditions. The flowers of the Bulbophyllum falcatum are a special highlight. They measure between 5 and 8 cm and have the shape of a curved sword, hence the name "falcatum". The flowers are usually greenish-brown with a yellowish center. The flowering period extends from February to May. Unlike many other orchid species, the Bulbophyllum falcatum has no specified rest period and can be cared for all year round. For optimal plant care, the Bulbophyllum falcatum should be fed with a mild fertilizer twice a month. This promotes healthy growth and flower formation.
